Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 23, 2026

This policy explains what information intosudoku ("the site", "we", "us") collects, how it's used, and the choices you have. intosudoku is a static web game — there is no account system and no server processing your gameplay. Puzzle data, stats and your optional display name all live in your browser's local storage on your own device.

1. Information we collect

intosudoku is designed to minimize data collection. Specifically:

1.1 Data stored only in your browser

  • Your current puzzle (board state, notes, timer, mistakes, hints used) — saved locally so you can resume where you left off.
  • Your game stats and personal best times, tracked locally per difficulty.
  • An optional display name, if you choose to set one on the stats page — this is just a local label, not an account and not tied to any personal identity.

None of the above is transmitted to us or any third party. It stays in your browser's local storage and is removed if you clear your browser data for this site.

1.2 Data we may receive

  • Contact form submissions. If you email us or use the contact form on this website, we receive whatever you include (name, email address, message).
  • Basic, anonymized web analytics (if enabled), such as aggregate page views — no gameplay data is included in this.

2. How we use information

Any information you voluntarily send us (for example, via the contact form) is used solely to respond to your message and improve the site. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

3. Third-party services

intosudoku does not embed third-party advertising or tracking SDKs, and the game itself makes no network requests once the page has loaded. If this changes in a future version, this policy will be updated in advance of the change taking effect.

Messages sent through the contact form are delivered by FormSubmit, a form-to-email service, which forwards your name, email address and message to us by email. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts.

4. Children's privacy

intosudoku does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The game itself requires no account and no personal data to play.

5. Data retention

Local browser data (puzzle progress, stats, display name) persists only until you clear your browser's site data, or until it's overwritten by later gameplay. Contact form messages are retained only as long as needed to respond to your inquiry.

6. Your choices

Because all gameplay data lives in your browser, you're always in control — clearing your browser's site data for intosudoku removes it entirely, including stats, best times and your display name. A "Reset All Stats" button is also available on the stats page. To request deletion of any message you've sent us, contact us using the details below.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
